The Grinch Review

Via Variety
The Grinch is fun, family fare perfect for those looking to celebrate the holiday season. Benedict Cumberbatch gives a fresh take to the classic character, there is good family-friendly humor, and there are new elements added to the story to keep things interesting. I’m not sure how much I enjoyed the hip-hop remixed theme, I would’ve much preferred hearing Thurl Ravenscroft’s original version, but that may be my only criticism. Kenan Thompson provides some extra comic voicework. The animation looks great. While The Grinch may not hit you emotionally, nor be better than the original cartoon, it still is a good way to kick off the holiday season. 8/10

Where to start? I'm a shift supervisor at Starbucks, which is where I spend most of my week. I am also a part-time student seeking an associates degree at Anne Arundel Community College. But my most identifiable trait is my love for movies; I have been reviewing them since 2017.
