Movie Preview for March 2020

  • March 6th

    The Way Back

I’m hoping for a feel good ending and an empowering Ben Affleck in this one

  • March 6th (Limited)

    First Cow

An A24 film, shot on 35mm, set on the western front? Sign me up!

  • March 13th

    The Hunt

When this film was pulled I never thought I’d be able to see it in theaters, but here we are. It could be a surprise hit like the witty and riotously fun Ready or Not, and that potential makes The Hunt worth paying attention to – even if I’m not expecting much.

  • March 13th

    Bloodshot

Who knew Vin Diesel could be more overpowered?

  • March 13th

    Never Rarely Sometimes Always

Had a pretty strong showing at Sundance and the trailer made me want to cry…and I’m not even a woman who can relate to these problems.

  • March 20th

    A Quiet Place Part II

Can the sequel repeat the success of its predecessor? I sure hope so. This is easily my most anticipated film of March.

  • March 27th

    Mulan

I think the potential for this to be the best Disney live action adaptation yet is quite obvious; this is the first time I’ve honestly been excited about one of these.

  • March 27th (Limited)

    Saint Maud

An A24 horror movie…I must make up for chickening out seeing Hereditary in theaters two years ago.

  • March 27th (Limited)

    Vivarium

“If a Black Mirror episode were a movie.”

Author: Teddy Frederick

Movies have been my passion since I was a young teenager. I had realized how much I loved going to the theater and watching something on the big screen, and I wanted to feel that sensation as often as possible. I began seeing as many movies as my schedule and wallet could allow, and in wanting to give back to the film community and myself, I wrote film reviews. I first posted them under the audience reviews of Rotten Tomatoes; if I ever go back to those posts now I cringe at the writer I used to be. In 2018, I had the idea to start my own space to post my content and thus Movie Reviews Today was born. I am a film and media studies student at Arizona St. University. I am also a three-year shift supervisor with Starbucks. My hope is to soak up as many movies and movie knowledge as I can moving forward and to share my passion with my readers.
